Ponginator

Ponginator had its original début at Maker Faire 2007. He was an idea conceived in the head of Vern Graner and brought to life by many of The Robot Group members. With only a few days to bring him to life they figured “how hard could it be”.
Over the past year Ponginator has gone through a few changes, but always remains the ping pong shooter of all times.
At Maker Faire 2007 he was a stand-alone monster, standing several stories tall (20 foot) and showering ping-pong balls down from above. At Austin First Night 2007 he was adapted to fit above the roof of a van, shooting ping pong balls up to prove “what goes up will come down”. When it was time for Maker Faire 2008, he was mounted to a lift for an even bigger display of his awesome shooting abilities where he towered over every thing and every one.
I am sure he will continue to morph into different bodies, but will remain the lovable Ponginator we all gather to watch.
