Ping Pong Printer
Ping Pong Printer developed by RickAbbott and VernGraner. This ping pong printer was invented to print the names of the events that The Robot Group participates in. At the events where Ponginator arrives, the balls are shot from his guns as souvenirs to the onlookers.

On December 21, 2007 a video was posted of the Ping Pong Printer we created to make ammo for the Ponginator. The video showed the unit going through its paces stage by stage. It had gathered a few dozen views from some folks in the group and a smattering of the readers of Nuts and Volts magazine. Then the video link got picked up by MAKE blog and things have sorta gone nuts! :) The video now has over 14,000 views and has been featured on at least a dozen other blogs! So, if you were directed here by the URL in the video, HELLO! :)
If you would like to learn more about the device, you can pick up the February issue of Nuts and Volts magazine where an article there details its construction. In the meantime, check out the gallery of photos of the finished or check out this video of The Ponginator to see what we use the Ping Pong balls for after they’re printed!
