Magic Screen Machine

JamesDelaney and Nyssa first presented the Magic Screen Machine to the TRG on 02.28.09. By using gears, stepper motors, a micro-controller and and two ULN2803’s we’ve re-created part of Jeff Epler’s Etch CNC project.

This is a multi-step project and we actually made it through the first stage successfully... we got a chip to give the Etch-A-Sketch® a design. To read more about this project, please visit here

  • The "magic gear" that made the project fit together just right was purchased at Hobby Town (south). It was just pure luck that this gear fit so perfectly. It was labeled as "AE Team Association" #21035 18T Spur Gear/drive, 60T. and ASC21035 SpurGR/DR CUP 60T RC18T.
