Here is a shot of the west wall with the railroad timbers set to provide support for the tire wall that will eventualy be covered in rock.
Later that night
Here we get to see one of the nice parts of being a single guy in a shack by himself. After the first summer where I had scorpions as commmon as some places have cockroaches I got a BB gun to pick them off as they crawl thru the gaps between walls and roof rafters. The first year I was getting 4 or 5 a day but since I filled all the gaps with foam this spring I only see about one a week so what to do I do to keep in practice? The shower curtain rod hanging targets. The wall behind the temporary shower is padded behind plastic so the misses don't bounce much and if I remember to lay a towel over the drain I can reuse the BBs.
From my main chair in the shop I have a clear shot to the targets about 25 feet away.
I like to torment the little one because it spins when I hit it just right and for being so difficult to hit... but occasionaly I can do it 3 or 4 times in a row. It used to be flat and smooth and I think if I keep at it, it will fatigue and crack in half.
